Questions
Things owners ask before they call
Do you work with businesses outside Fountain Hills?
Yes. Fountain Hills, Scottsdale, Mesa, Gilbert, Tempe, Chandler and Apache Junction are where Robert focuses, but they are not a boundary. Most of the work happens remotely, so he works with businesses outside those cities too, and he can meet on site in the East Valley when it helps.
How far behind can my books be before it is too late?
There is no point where it becomes too late. Catch-up work is a normal part of the job, and a file that is a year or two behind is not unusual. The sooner it starts the less it costs, because recent records are easier to reconstruct than old ones.
Do I need to have QuickBooks already?
No. If you do not have a file yet, Robert will set one up with a chart of accounts built around your trade. If you already have one, he works in what you have, Online or Desktop.
Does this replace my CPA?
No, and it is not meant to. A bookkeeper keeps the records accurate through the year so your CPA has a clean file at tax time. The two roles work together, and plenty of clients come to Robert because their CPA asked them to find a bookkeeper.
What does bookkeeping cost?
It depends on how many transactions and accounts you have, and how far behind things are. Robert quotes after looking at your file, so the number you get is based on your actual books rather than an average.
When can I reach you?
Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm Arizona time. Arizona does not observe daylight saving, so that is the same clock all year no matter where you are calling from.
